A collection that belongs to a group is more than the sum of its specimens. At the Lithothek, collectors and friends of mineralogy work together as volunteers: they identify and document new arrivals, maintain the digital collection management system and keep alive the memory of the people whose life’s work lives on here.
Get involved
There are many ways to contribute – from identifying and photographing individual specimens to helping with digital cataloguing and handing over a collection of your own. Nobody has to commit: every contribution counts, to the extent that suits your own life.
Would you like to get involved, or do you have questions about the collection? Call us on telephone 089 28934873 (at the Stufenheim: 089 90198102) – full contact details are in the legal notice.
